A deceitful charade is played out in churches throughout the world almost every sunday at collection time

 

'Give to God' they proclaim....when God says money belongs to Ceasar (Mat 22:19-21)

'Give to God' they say ....when they mean that you should put it into their church coffers to be squandered without accountability

'Giving to God is commanded' they say.....when God says that we are FREE of any such obligation (Mat 17:25-26)

'Give to God or you are robbing Him' they say ....as they misrepresent the scripture to steal from His children....including the poor (Mal 3:5)

'Give your tithes to your local church' they say...when GOD says that the tithe belongs to the LEVITE only (Numbers 18:21)

'Give for the work of God'....when they mean for their own salaries because they will NOT obey the scriptural COMMANDS to work with their hands and not to be a burden on the church....and to 'earn the bread they eat' (2 Thes 3:6-10) (Acts 20:35, 2 Cor 11:9, Gal 6:5)

'Give to God and He will repay you'.....when God says no-one has EVER first given to Him that they should be repaid (Rom 11:35)

'Give to God or you will be cursed' they say ...when Jesus DIED to redeem us from the curse of the Law (Gal 3:13)

'God says you must give' they claim.....but strangely no-one ever quotes a new testament command in context to back this up?

 

Heb 10:5
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire    NKJV

Yet today in many churches believers are told to give offerings to God....and to do so 'sacrificially'

Heb 10:12-14
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.    NKJV
 

The New Testament is about FAITH in Christ's sacrifice for us....and not what we are to do for Him

 

Brethren, decide today who you believe and are seeking to please in regard to the matter of giving ...God or man?
 

2 Peter 2:1-3

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.    NKJV
 

 

'You are saved by grace' the scriptures teach. .. but they then imply or even state  outright that if you don't tithe, you are probably not saved? (Eph 2:8-10)

 

Can this be the church of Jesus Christ?   .. The God who is TRUTH is being lied about by those who purport to be his 'servants'...as they attempt to extort money from HIS children?

 

Brethren, where did Jesus or the apostles EVER teach this nonsense?

 

Well the bible says "the whole world and everything in it  belongs to Him"....some chime

Acts 17:24-25
24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. NKJV
 

It is NOT worship (as many claim) when we bring MONEY to "God"... God does NOT need or want 'the work of men's hands'! (read also Ps 50:7-12)

 

So HOW do we 'give to God' according to the New Testament scriptures?

Matt 25:34-40
34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 

37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'  40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'     NKJV
 

By their traditions the church today has made this command of God of NONE EFFECT. Our primary response to salvation should be the expression of God's love to the NEEDS of others....DIRECTLY. This is what is at stake! 

Throughout the bible from one end to the next the newest of believers should be able to see what God wants....that we as His children TRUST Him....and SHOW His love to the world....and be generous to the POOR!

 

Mic 6:8

8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?      NKJV
 

 

Churches today take money from the POOR...in the name of the 'storehouse money tithing' heresy....and consume it on things God has NO interest in....ie buildings and business (Acts 17:24, John 2:16)....let alone private jets for 'kingdom travel'.

Where is the justice and mercy and faith in this? (Mat 23:23)...Tithing as taught today is grossly UNJUST....it is totally UNMERCIFUL to the poor....and it is wickedly UNFAITHFUL to the truth of the New Testament gospel in Christ Jesus.

 

Some accuse me of being 'unbalanced' in my judgement on this matter....Do you doubt what Jesus would say?

Jesus brethren is THE WORD OF GOD!

Isa 3:14-15
14 The LORD will enter into judgment
With the elders of His people
And His princes:
"For you have eaten up the vineyard;
The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 What do you mean by crushing My people
And grinding the faces of the poor?"
Says the Lord GOD of hosts.    NKJV
 

95% of what is given to churches is CONSUMED instead of being used to help the poor or itinerant ministers!....this is NOT giving!

We as individual believers end up ABDICATING our role in ministering Christ's love to the world ....and FAIL in our own stewardship....by giving our money to others to supposedly 'do the work of God'...who then squander it ! (In ways which no person who had to EARN it ever would)

 

Gal 2:10
10 They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.    NKJV

ONLY remember the poor...not the preacher...and certainly not the wealthy!

 

1 John 3:17
17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?    NKJV

We are EACH called to minister to the POOR....and not to give all our resources to business enterprises purporting to be 'churches'

 

Gal 6:10
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.    NKJV

Heb 13:16
16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.   NKJV

God is more pleased when you directly DO good and share with the needy....than your giving money at collections for the 'church'
 
 
 
 James 2:15-17
15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?   NKJV
 

James 1:27
27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.    NKJV

Do you notice that James does NOT include attending church meetings ...or 'tithing' as a requirement for believers?

 

And neither is it included in Acts 15 as one of the 4 ONLY things from the Law that the Gentiles should still practice
 

Acts 15:24-29

24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law" — to whom we gave no such commandment —  25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.   NKJV
 

NOTE Brethren...... TITHING is NOT a NECESSARY thing...or required...according to the NEW TESTAMENT and the Holy Spirit of God...and the apostles!

 

But false teachers and wicked deceivers continue to preach this heresy from pulpits all around the world ....and then wonder why the world won't come into 'their churches'?

The people of the world, unlike the vast majority of God's kids, are not gullible (Luke 16:8)....they know when a RIP-OFF is happening. Go on the streets and witness...you will hear this phrase over and over ...'Can't you see that ALL they want is your money'.

They are staying out of 'churches' until the deception and extortion comes to an end!
